2021 Council Meetings - Agendas and Minutes

The Meeting of Council 15 February 2022 will be both open to the public and live streamed. There will be limited capacity in the Council Chamber due to COVIDSafe requirements.

Due to COVID-19 social distancing rules, the ability of attendance and livestreaming, the accommodations of the Council Chamber have been altered.

You will be asked to sign a Photo Image and Media Consent and Release Form prior to the Meeting of Council and entering the Council Chamber at meeting start, scheduled at 6.30 pm.

Public question time questions/statements are still able to be submitted up until 12.00pm on the day of the meeting to governance@mountalexander.vic.gov.au. All questions/statements will be read and addressed on the night.

Council meetings are open to the public with COVIDSafe practices in place and subject to any restrictions in place. The meetings are also live streamed via YouTube. Search Mount Alexander Shire Council.

To raise a question or a statement at the Council meeting for Public Question Time, write to the Governance Team, Mount Alexander Shire Council, PO Box 185, Castlemaine 3450 VIC, or email governance@mountalexander.vic.gov.au by 12 noon on the day of the meeting.

Council live streams Council Meetings via YouTube to increase transparency and remove access to barriers to attendance at the meetings.

The recording equipment focuses on Councillors and aims to avoid filming the public gallery as much as possible. Any visitor to the public gallery should be aware their presence and voice may be recorded.

A Special Meeting of Council was held at 5.30 pm on Tuesday 25 May to hear public submissions on the Proposed Budget 2021-2022.
A Special Meeting of Council was also held at 6.00 pm on Tuesday 14 September to hear from submitters wishing to speak to the Draft Rating Strategy 2022 - 2027.
A Special Meeting of Council will be held at 5.00 pm on Tuesday 3 November to hear from submitters wishing to speak to the proposed sale and leasing of Council land.
