All Council Meetings are open to members of the public. They are held on the third Tuesday of the month in the Council Chamber at the Civic Centre (corner of Lyttleton and Lloyd Streets, Castlemaine) and will commence at 6.30pm.
The dates of meetings of Council are advertised in Council's weekly column in the Midland Express and in latest news each Tuesday.
Public Question Time
Council allows 30 minutes at the start of each Council Meeting for members of the public to ask questions of Council. If you wish to bring a petition or joint letter to Council it may be presented during public question time.

Special Meetings of Council
Council may also call special meetings to address specific matters. Notice of special meetings is given seven days in advance online and in the Midland Express.
Special Meetings have been called in 2017 as follows:
- 17 January 2017 at 6.30 pm - to consider two tenders
- 21 February 2017 at 5.00pm - to consider adoption of the amended Councillor Code of Conduct
