Managing your health and wellbeing

It's important to look after your mental health and wellbeing during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

It is understandable for people to have feelings of concern or distress during the coronavirus outbreak.

Fear and anxiety about a disease can cause strong emotions in adults and children, and financial pressures and hardship may also contribute to worry and stress.

Stay well and connected

To help keep a healthy headspace during this time, it’s important to stay connected to family and friends, eat well and ensure you stay active.

Here are some simple tips to help reduce worry and stress and maintain a health mindset:

• Take a break from the news
• Stay active
• Stay connected to friends and family
• Eat well
• Get enough sleep
• Talk to a trusted friend/adult if it all feels a bit much.

Here are some resources with information on how to manage your mental health.

Getting help and support

It is ok to feel emotionally or physically affected by the impact of COVID-19.

There are plenty of ways to support other people, or be supported if you are feeling anxious or uncertain.
