Have your say on streetscape design options

Historic Maldon

Have your say on streetscape design options for the historic town of Maldon through a short survey or come along to a community forum.

Thursday 1 June 2017

Mount Alexander Shire Council invites the community to a forum in Maldon on Tuesday 13 June to discuss streetscape design options for the historic town.

The outcome will include approved design options for things like paving, lighting and street furniture to guide conservation of Maldon’s town centre.

A set of standards will help to create a more attractive, safe and accessible town centre, while preserving the town’s heritage character.

“Working within the Maldon Design Guidelines, Council, residents and businesses can all work together to preserve Maldon’s beautifully preserved streetscapes,” said Cr Sharon Telford, Mayor of Mount Alexander Shire.

“We encourage everyone who uses the town centre, or are passionate about preserving the town’s heritage values, to come along to find out more about the project,” said Cr Telford.
