Impounded livestock

A ram was impounded from Harcourt on Monday 5 June. If the ram is not claimed and expenses paid by Tuesday 20 June it will be sold by public tender. Tenders open Tuesday 13 June and close at 2.00pm on Tuesday 20 June. No late tenders will be accepted. Submit tenders to the Civic Centre, Castlemaine, in a sealed envelope marked Impounded Livestock 06/17. If the sheep is claimed tenders will be destroyed after notification to tenderers. Stolen generation theatre

Come along to the moving show Hart and hear the stories of the stolen generation through testimonials of three generations of Noongar men. Hart is on at 7.30pm, Saturday 17 June at the Phee Broadway Theatre, Mechanics Lane, Castlemaine. Cost is $25 / $20 concession. Doors and bar open from 7.00pm. Tickets are available at the door prior to the show, at the Castlemaine Visitor Information Centre, over the phone on 5471 1795 or at www.pheebroadwaytheatre.com.au.

Review final levee designs

The community is invited to attend a drop in session to review the final designs of the six flood protection levees planned around Castlemaine and Campbells Creek. The information session will be held from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Tuesday 20 June at the Ray Bradfield Room, next to Victory Park in Castlemaine.

Fight food waste

Learn how to avoid food waste with Nikki Valentini from The Growing Abundance Project at Council's free Sustainable Living workshop. Held from 10.30am to 12.30pm on Saturday 24 June. To book contact Dallas Giles on 5471 1768 or d.giles@mountalexander.vic.gov.au.

Councillor forum in Maldon

Everyone is invited to join a Councillor and Community Forum at 6.15pm on Tuesday 13 June at Maldon Community Centre, Francis Street. This is your chance to raise questions and provide feedback on Council activities. You may choose to stay on and discuss streetscape design options for Maldon from 6.45pm to 8.15pm.

Share your views before Friday 23 June via an online survey at the Have Your Say section of Council’s website or collect a hard copy from the Civic Centre or Maldon Visitor Information Centre.

Meetings are held at the Civic Centre. Everyone is welcome to attend.
