Learn how to do business with Council

Civic Centre

Monday 31 July 2017

Local business operators are invited to come along to a free workshop to learn how to be considered for the supply of goods or services and contracts with Mount Alexander Shire Council.

The workshop will guide suppliers through the tender and procurement process, the online TenderSearch portal, with tips on writing a successful submission.

“This is a great opportunity for local business operators to come along and learn about the tender process and how they might do business with council,” said Bradley Thomas, Executive Manager Business Performance, Mount Alexander Shire Council.

Council regularly seeks quotes and tenders for a range of goods and services from the provision of various trade services, through to large multi-million dollar developments.

“This workshop will help business operators understand how Council’s procurement process works and how we request quotes and tender responses,” said Mr Thomas.

“We encourage everyone to come along and gain practical skills on how to effectively pitch your business, respond to quotes and tenders and become a registered supplier.

“We want to see more local businesses supplying goods and services to Council,” he said.
