Award-winning circus show comes to the Phee

Perhaps Hope 960x440

Thursday 5th October

Contemporary circus stars Company Here and Now are returning to Castlemaine with their breathtaking eco-apocalyptic show Perhaps Hope.

The show is set in a dystopian world and explores the destabilising effect of climate change. Rockie Stone (Circus OZ) and Vincent van Berkel (Knee Deep) explore the brutal landscape and move to an eclectic soundtrack with astounding strength and beauty.

Perhaps Hope has been recognised with the ‘Original New Circus’ award following its debut at the Melbourne Fringe Festival in 2015 and earned Company Here and Now a prestigious Total Theatre Award nomination for Best Circus following its Edinburgh Fringe Festival premiere in 2016.

Perhaps Hope has been praised by critics and audiences alike for its beauty, uniqueness and bravery:

“Perhaps Hope is what circus should be. There are no gimmicks or anything to hide behind. Stone and Van Berkel not only keep themselves exposed to our scrutiny but also expose the cracks in our environment. A show that needs to be seen.” - Theatre Press

“Heart-stoppingly brilliant.” - Adelaide Advertiser

“Daringly original and unexpectedly moving…The impact of this tightly structured work sneaks up on you… they quietly and intelligently achieve the wow factor.” - The Times UK

Make sure you don’t miss Perhaps Hope, the last show of the Phee Broadway Theatre season for 2017.
