Satisfaction survey underway

Households are encouraged to participate in the 2018 Community Satisfaction Survey to assess the performance of Council. The annual telephone survey is carried out by independent market research agency National Field Surveys among a random, representative sample of residents from across the shire. Individual responses are confidential. Similar surveys will be undertaken across other Victorian councils in the coming months. The feedback will help Council identify areas for improvement in the delivery of programs and services.

Tree pruning program

Tree pruning around powerlines in Castlemaine is now underway as part of Council’s ongoing street tree maintenance program. Works are undertaken by qualified contractors to meet electric safety regulations and reduce the risk of fire, blackouts and power surges. Trees on private property will not be pruned.
