Councillor listening posts

Crs Bronwen Machin and Dave Petrusma will hold a listening post from 3.00pm to 5.00pm on Thursday 24 May near the IGA supermarket on Mostyn Street, Castlemaine. Cr Christine Henderson holds a listening post on the first Friday of every month from 8.30am to 10.30am at Elphinstone Post Office. Listening posts are a great way to provide feedback to your local councillor so come along and say hi.

Reconciliation Week activities

Everyone is invited along to a public event to recognise National Sorry Day. The event will be held at 11.00am on Saturday 26 May on the steps of the Market Building in Mostyn Street, Castlemaine. Pop in to the Market Building throughout Reconciliation Week to see Indigenous displays and more.

Rates reminder

Ratepayers are reminded the final instalment for 2017/2018 is due on Thursday 31 May. Reminder notices have been sent to ratepayers outlining payment options. If you are having difficulty paying your rates contact Council on 5471 1700.

Bus trial extended

The community bus service trial has been extended so you can now book your flexible door to door service until Friday 22 June. The service runs between Maldon, Baringhup and Castlemaine, and links to existing PTV services. Phone 5475 2093 the day before you want to travel to be picked up at your home. Gold coin donation. 2018/2019 Proposed Budget

Don't forget to have your say on Council's 2018/2019 Proposed Budget. Find out more at www.mountalexander.vic.gov.au/HaveYourSay. Hard copies of the budget are available at community hubs. Submissions close at 5.00pm on Wednesday 23 May.

• 6.30pm, Tuesday 5 June – Special Meeting of Council
• 6.30pm, Tuesday 26 June.

Meetings are held at the Civic Centre. Everyone is welcome to attend.
