Solar information meetings

Are you thinking of going solar? Want to know about battery storage? Attend an upcoming information meeting to find out what the MASH Community Solar Bulk-Buy can offer. Information sessions will be held at the Castlemaine Town Hall from 6.30pm-8.00pm on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 July. Reserve your place at www.mash.org.au/events or call 1300 466 274. Supported by Council and Mount Alexander Sustainability Group.

Sign up for Battle of the Bands

Calling all musicians aged between 12 and 25. Sign up to the FReeZA Push Start Battle of the Bands for the chance to play a gig at the Theatre Royal on Friday 24 August. The annual music competition is open to bands, soloists and duos in any style of music. Visit the what’s on for young people page on our website to download an application form. Contact Youth Activities Officer Jodie Hearn on 5471 1743 for more information about this accessible event. Get your entry in by Wednesday 1 August.

Road closures in Saint Street

Saint Street and Greenhill Avenue in Castlemaine are closed to traffic between Barker and Wheeler streets while works are undertaken to improve drainage in the area. Property access will be maintained for residents. The detour is via Forest Street. The project is expected to be completed by the end of September. For more information contact the Infrastructure Team on 5471 1700.
