Friday 1 February 2019

Works are starting in Moscript Street Campbells Creek to provide much needed
improvements to drainage in the area.

Maine Civil Pty Ltd was awarded the contract for the works, which will see existing culverts
replaced with new, larger pipes in three locations, as well as pavement raising works at the
intersection of Moscript and Stephen Street.

The road may close to through traffic during this time, with alternate access via Stephen
Street.

Mount Alexander Shire Council’s Director Infrastructure and Development Phil Josipovic said
the works will take around eight weeks to complete.

“These works will improve the drainage when we have a good deal of rain,” said Mr
Josipovic.

“We’re making sure local residents are informed and have access to their properties at all
times”.

“With some friendly weather and no unforeseen complications, the work should be finished
by the end of March.”

Council have identified a number of sites across the shire in need of drainage work and are
working through them in order of priority.
