Baringhup solar farm hearings

Planning Panels Victoria has announced details on the upcoming hearings relating to the proposed solar farm in Baringhup.
The Directions Hearing will be held at 11.00am on Thursday 13 June at the Civic Centre at Castlemaine.

The Panel Hearing will start during the week beginning Monday 15 July. The time and venue is to be confirmed.

Planning Panels Victoria will contact objectors directly on information about the hearing dates and how they can be involved. Both hearings are open to the public. Further information will be available from www.planning.vic.gov.au/panels-and-committees.

Have your say on botanical gardens

A draft conservation management plan for the much loved Castlemaine Botanical Gardens is open for community feedback. The plan includes an assessment of the significant features of the heritage-listed gardens as a living landscape, with policies and actions to renew and protect them for decades to come. Complete the wellbeing census

Everyone is encouraged to complete the Healthy Heart of Victoria 2019 Active Living Census. The survey has been sent to every household in the shire. To save time complete it online at www.srcentre.com.au/ALC. The results will help us to better understand what our community needs to be active, healthy and happy. Take part in the census by Thursday 16 June to be in the running for some great prizes.

Wattle Flat Reserve AGM

The Wattle Flat Reserve Committee of Management will hold its AGM at 8.00pm on Thursday 20 June at the Wattle Flat Reserve Clubrooms, Richards Road, Castlemaine. Interested members of the community are welcome to come along.
