Want a new pet?

The Pet Exchange Register (PER) is a new online database that individuals or businesses can use to advertise a dog, cat, puppy or kitten for sale or to give away in Victoria. From 1 July it will be an offence to advertise a pet without the animal’s microchip number and PER code. The aim is to improve the traceability of dogs and cats in Victoria and allow councils, RSPCA (Victoria) and Animal Welfare Victoria to more effectively monitor unlawful activity. Register at https://per.animalwelfare.vic.gov.au/ or contact the PER team on 136 186.
