Parking permits

Information about criteria and how to apply for a parking permit, including disabled parking permits.

Residential parking permits

If you live in a street that has parking restrictions you can apply for a residential parking permit. To apply for a resident parking permit download and complete the relevant application form and lodge with payment at the Civic Centre.

Permits are valid for 12 months and cost $85.00 per annum.

Disabled parking permits

To apply, complete the Disabled Persons Parking Scheme Application which currently operates in Victoria. People with a disability can apply for a free parking permit from Council.

There are two types of permits with different parking concessions based on a person's need for assistance. Council determines which category of permit you are eligible for based on the VicRoads assessment criteria. Visit VicRoads for more information about the scheme, permit types and criteria.

A disabled parking permit can only be used by the permit holder in the vehicle they are travelling in.

Permits must be clearly displayed so the permit number and expiry date are visible from the exterior of the vehicle.

Parking on Council land

To assist with building works, you can apply to for parking or conduct works on Council land permit Permits are valid for the date range specified within a 12 month period. They cost $85.00 per annum.

Council will only consider issuing a parking on council land permit, when the following conditions are met:

• There is sufficient width abutting the property to fit the work zone, so that the zone will not be in front of another resident’s property.
• There are not any ‘No stopping’ restrictions in the proposed location.
• There are no ‘Clearway’ operating times in the proposed location.
