Prescribed Accommodation premises must be registered under the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 and comply with the Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2009.

Exempted premises are listed in the Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2009.
Annual inspections are carried out by Council's Public and Environmental Health Officers to assess compliance with overcrowding, maintainance and cleanliness, water supply, waste disposal and toilet and bathing facilities.
