Camp Reserve Sports Oval

Sporting reserves in the Shire are categorised as either major or minor reserves. These reserves are either managed by a Section 86 Committee of Management, on a lease or license, or managed directly though Council. Some seasonal user agreements are in place at selected reserves.
Ground hardness assessments are undertaken on a routine basis to ensure consistent risk management at each reserve.

Ground hardness testing

Ground hardness refers to the ability of the playing surfaces to absorb impact energy and influences both player performance and safety.
If the playing surface at any reserve is outside the ideal range (40–120), Council's Ground Closure Procedure may be employed.
