Don’t forget to join your community at this year’s Australia Day event at Victory Park in Castlemaine.

Along with a free barbecue lunch and refreshments, there will be live music, a bouncy castle and face painting.

Mount Alexander Shire Council will announce the recipients of shire’s Australia Day awards and there will be a ceremony to welcome our newest Australian citizens.

Council is working closely with the Upper Loddon Indigenous Group Nalderun to plan the day and ensure the event acknowledges the shared history and diversity of all Australians.
