Mount Alexander Planning Scheme
Notice of Approval of Amendment, Amendment C84

The Minister for Planning has approved Amendment C84 to the Mount Alexander Planning Scheme. The Amendment comes into operation on the date this notice is published in the Government Gazette.

The Amendment rezones land at Lots A, B and C on PS 746864C (26 Market Street) and part Lot 1 on PS 315122 (part 17 Craigie Street), Harcourt, from Farming Zone to General Residential Zone (Schedule 1).

The Minister has granted the following permit(s) under Division Five Part Four of the Act:
Permit number: PA 162/2017
Description of land: Lots A, B and C, PS 746864C (26 Market Street) and part Lot 1 PS 315122 (part 17 Craigie Street), Harcourt.

A copy of the Amendment can be inspected, free of charge, at the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning website at www.planning.vic.gov.au/public-inspection and free of charge, during office hours, at the offices of Mount Alexander Shire Council, Civic Centre, 27 Lyttleton Street, Castlemaine.

Works will begin in early April to upgrade the stretch of road along Urquhart Street between Lyttleton and Mostyn streets in Castlemaine. The works aim to improve traffic and pedestrian flow by widening the road, formalising the kerb and channel at the Mostyn Street intersection and reconstructing the Lyttleton Street roundabout. The group will focus on delivering outcomes of the Mount Alexander Early Years Plan 2018-2021.
