Young people are invited to come along and celebrate the end of the school term with a party at Castlemaine Pool.

Thursday 12 December 2019

Young people aged 12-25 years are invited to celebrate the end of the school year at a pool party and live music event hosted by Mount Alexander Shire Council’s FReeZA committee.

The local FReeZA Committee, Eight Metre Speaker, will host an end of year celebration at the Castlemaine Pool from 6.00pm to 8.30pm on Saturday 21 December to kick off summer with a splash.

“With the school year done and dusted, this is a great way for students to celebrate the achievements of 2019 and embrace the start of the summer break,” said Council’s Youth Activities Officer Jodie Hearn.

The event will showcase young musicians from across the shire including 2019 Battle of the Bands winners EMF who will headline the event.

“We’re very keen to see EMF play again after the amazing set they performed at Battle of the Bands,” said Ms Hearn.

“They have a huge energy that gets people moving and what better way to launch into the summer holidays than laying pool side with good mates and good music?” she said.
