Everyone is invited to a pop-up art café in Castlemaine on Wednesday 30 June to help grow and celebrate the skills and talent of young people in our community, as part of 2021 Victorian Youth Week Celebrations.

The Mondo Lounge Pop-up Art Café project, coordinated by Council’s Youth Advisory Group, will feature an art exhibition of local artists, aged 12-25 years, and coffee made by newly trained young baristas.

“Our project has two parts. One is providing young people with important job skills and the real life experience of running a cafe and the other is showcasing local creative talent,” said Alina Graeve, Youth Advisory Group member.

“If you are in town, come and support our young people by getting a free coffee and viewing some amazing artwork,” Alina said.

The Pop-up Art Café will be open from 10.00am to 2.00pm on Wednesday 30 June at Mondo Lounge, 30 Templeton Street Castlemaine - accessed at the rear of the Castlemaine Community House building.

The youth art exhibition will remain open to the public on weekdays from 9.00am to 3.00pm until Friday 9 July.
