Learn how to create healthy delicious fermented foods at Council’s next Sustainable Living workshop. The workshop, led by Nikki Valentini, will be held from 10.30am to 12.30pm on Saturday 26 May at the Senior Citizens Centre in Castlemaine. Bookings are limited and essential. Council is proud to support the 2018 Jobs Fair coordinated by PeoplePlus Australia. Job seekers, employers and trainers across the shire can network and connect at this free expo-style event. It will be held from 11.00am to 1.30pm on Wednesday 23 May at the Market Building on Mostyn Street, Castlemaine. The initiative is supported by the Victorian Government’s Engage! Funding for Youth.

Dispose of unwanted household chemicals for free at the Detox Your Home event run by Sustainability Victoria. Head to the Daylesford Transfer Station on Ajax Road between 10.00am and 2.00pm on Saturday 12 May. For more information visit sustainability.vic.gov.au/detoxyourhome or call 1300 363 744.
