Download a new waste and recycling App to have the chance to win a $200 eco prize pack.

Wednesday 20 June 2018

The Loddon Mallee Waste and Resource Recovery Group and Mount Alexander Shire Council are encouraging residents to download the new Loddon Mallee Waste Info App by Friday 13 July 2018 for a chance to win an eco-prize pack.

The FREE Waste Info App has been developed to help residents make quick and simple waste and recycling decisions with the aim to reduce contamination and increase recycling levels.

Key features of the Waste Info App include a personalised bin collection calendar for residents with optional reminders, an easy to use A-Z list of materials and images showing which bin to put materials in. It also includes hints and tips to help with waste management as well as information about Mount Alexander Shire Council waste and recycling services and facilities, including contact details, opening times and maps.

Residents who download the Waste Info App will be sent push notifications advising them of changes to collection dates, events and programs.

To encourage residents to try the handy and easy to use App, the Waste and Resource Recovery Group and Council are offering one lucky Mount Alexander Shire resident the chance to win an eco-prize pack to the value of $200.

To be in the draw to win all you need to do is:

• Download the FREE Loddon Mallee Waste Info App through the App Store or Google Play with the search: Loddon Mallee.
• Select Mount Alexander Shire Council and go to the Report Problem tab at the bottom.
• Enter in your contact details, select Waste App Competition from the topics, and in the notes section name an item you are unsure what bin it belongs in.

Competition closes Friday 13 July 2018. The winner will be notified by telephone and published in Council’s Column in the Midland Express on Tuesday 24 July. Go on, give it a try!
