Waste app winner

Congratulations to Lauren Randle from Castlemaine, the lucky winner of a $200 eco prize pack as part of the Loddon Mallee Waste Info App competition. Residents can download the free app, which offers a bin collection calendar, optional reminders, tips on waste management and information about local waste and recycling facilities. Get the free app from the App Store or Google Play with the search: Loddon Mallee.

Do you need help with your tax?

Free tax advice will soon be available from Castlemaine Community House (CCH). The service will be offered every Thursday from 2 August until 25 October, from 9.00am to 4.00pm. It is available for people earning up to $60,000 per annum and provided by a trained and accredited tax help volunteer. Bookings are essential and may be made through CCH on 5472 4842 or at the office weekdays from 9.00am to 3.00pm at 65 Templeton Street.

Plan your Seniors Festival event

Don't forget to submit your expression of interest (EOI) by 5.00pm on Friday 6 August to have your event included in the Seniors Festival celebration in October. Complete the EOI to be included in the event program, participate in the Seniors Expo or apply for an event grant. Forms are available from Castlemaine Community House (CCH), Maldon Neighbourhood Centre or online at www.cch.org.au/community/seniors-festival-2018 or call CCH on 5472 4842.
