Come down to the Theatre Royal courtyard in October during Mental Health Week and support our young creative makers.

Mount Alexander Shire Council’s Youth Advisory Group invites everyone to a day of retail therapy, live music and tasty food, as they welcome back the Young Makers’ Market.

The Young Makers’ Market will feature an exciting range of homemade arts, crafts, one off designs and other treasures. Stalls will include handmade jewellery, home decorations, clothing, outdoor sculptures, a variety of fine arts and more!

“We were all so amazed at the turnout last time. I remember standing at the entrance looking at all the stalls and all the amazing things our young people had made. I don’t think I’ve ever been quite as proud as I was at that moment,” said Jade Bujeya, advisory group member.

“We live in an area that abounds with some of the most talented individuals in Australia and it was such a privilege to be a part of that. We couldn’t resist doing it again!” said Jade.

“We are delighted to invite all our young makers back again, and are eager to meet anyone else who’d like to join us and showcase their talents alongside their peers.”

The Young Makers’ Market is on Sunday 7 October between 10.00am and 2.00pm at the Theatre Royal courtyard, Hargraves Street, Castlemaine.

People aged between 12 and 25 years are encouraged to be part of this event and demonstrate their creativity. Register your free a stall by Sunday 30 September.

If you are interested in having a stall or would like to find out more, visit the events section at www.mountalexandershireyouth.com.au or contact Shannon Lacy, Youth Development Officer, on 0429 369 894.
