Are you recycling right?

Find out if you're recycling right at our next free Sustainable Living Workshop.

Wednesday 12 September 2018

Are you confused about what goes in which bin? If you would like to learn more about what can and can’t be recycled head along to a free two hour workshop hosted by Mount Alexander Shire Council.

“This workshop will debunk some of the common myths about recycling and help you to recycle like a pro,” said Michael Scott, Council’s Waste and Recycling Coordinator.

“Recycling is pretty straightforward once you know how, so this is a great chance to learn what goes in the yellow-lidded bins,” said Mr Scott.

About 70 percent of what is in the average rubbish bin doesn’t need to be there.

“We’ll be doing some hands-on separation of waste materials to help participants really get the hang of what goes into each bin,” said Mr Scott.

“I hope to share some of my passion about how we can avoid waste, reuse things and create less need for resources,” he said.
