Is your online communication hitting the mark? If you’re in business come along to a two hour workshop, Creating Effective Digital Content, and learn how to write compelling content for your website, blog or social media

“There’s a lot to consider when communicating with your customers. You want it to be interesting, with the right tone and also aligned to your business goals,” said Eva Parkin, Economic Development Officer, Mount Alexander Shire Council.

“Workshop participants will learn how to create a strong online identity for their business and tell the stories that their audience wants to hear. Participants will also learn tips on making videos and search engine optimisation,” said Ms Parkin.

“At $20 this is such great value – there’s so much packed into this workshop and people will go away with a workbook that they can refer to later,” said Ms Parkin.

The workshop will be held from 6.00pm to 8.00pm on Monday 8 October at the Council Chambers in Castlemaine. Places are limited, so don’t dilly dally, book your place at www.mountalexander.vic.gov.au/BusinessResources. The presenter is digital business expert Nick Sibbings.

Castlemaine Career Coach Genevieve Ward of The Good Life Careers said the small business workshop she recently attended was incredibly useful.

“Our workshop facilitator Karen Luu was energetic, engaging and ready to answer any question,” said Ms Ward.

“I enjoyed the activities Karen used which stimulated my thinking about my business's values and customers. She really showed us how to get the best out of the various online tools that will help market my business.

“This is the third small business workshop I've attended at Mount Alexander Shire Council. I recommend anyone considering going to book in for future courses. It's great value for money, the content is helpful and it's an opportunity to meet and network with other local people in business,” she said.

The October session is the second last Small Business Workshop to be held in 2018. The November workshop will cover succession planning and what to keep in mind throughout this process. Find out more at the Business Resources section of Council’s website.
