Learn practical measures you can take to conserve water whilst maintaining healthy and productive gardens at the next Sustainable Living Workshop. The free session will be held from 10.30am to 12.30pm on Saturday 27 October at the Senior Citizens Centre, Castlemaine. It is presented by Richard Rowe from Sustainable Gardening Australia. If you are thinking of selling your business or considering a change of management come along to Council’s next small business workshop. The Selling or Succession workshop will be held from 6.00pm to 8.00pm on Monday 12 November at the Civic Centre. Cost is $20. Secure your place at www.mountalexander.vic.gov.au/BusinessResources. Shire residents can dispose of green waste for free at the Castlemaine and Maldon waste facilities until Sunday 4 November. Residents are encouraged to use this opportunity to prepare their property for the fire season.
