If you're planning a local event or activity don't forget to apply for a community grant from Council.

Thursday 31 January 2019

Applications for Mount Alexander Shire Council’s Community Grants Program are now open.

The community grants program provides support to local community-based projects and initiatives that align with Council’s goals and priorities.

Council has made some changes to the program to make it easier for everyone to plan their projects and apply for funding.

There are now two funding rounds each year, and you can choose to apply for a small grant of up $3,000 or a partnership grant up to $10,000 over three years.

Council is holding drop-in sessions around the shire to give community groups a chance to chat to staff to find out more about the program and discuss their project ideas:

• Thursday 31 January, 6.00pm to 7.00pm - Civic Centre, Castlemaine
• Thursday 7 February, 6.00pm to 7.00pm - Taradale Community Hall.

For more information, an application form and guidelines visit our website at www.mountalexander.vic.gov.au/CommunityGrants.

Applications close on Monday 18 February. For more information contact the Community Partnerships Team on 5471 1700 or email grants@mountalexander.vic.gov.au.
