Free e-waste drop off event

If you have unwanted small or medium sized electronic devices bring them along to be recycled at a free e-waste drop off event. E-waste relates to anything that uses batteries or has a cord or plug. It includes things like computers, phones, microwave, hair dryers and more. Bring along your small and medium sized e-waste for recycling from 10.00am to 3.00pm on Saturday 13 April at Wesley Hill Sports Complex car park, McGrath Street, Castlemaine. Proof of residency will be required. Large items such as fridges and washing machines cannot be accepted for health and safety reasons. The Victorian Government is banning electronic waste (e-waste) from landfill from 1 July. In preparation for the e-waste ban, Council is coordinating the event in partnership with Veolia Environmental Services and Sims Metal Management.
