We are inviting the community to have a say on a draft conservation management plan for the much loved Castlemaine Botanical Gardens. The plan includes an assessment of the significant features of the heritage-listed gardens as a living landscape, with policies and actions to renew and protect them for decades to come.

Preparation works have started on a new play space at Victory Park for children of all ages and abilities. The space will feature a zip line, accessible wheelchair carousel, basket swing, ping pong table, chess table, cubbies, nature-inspired elements and more. The new play space will be finished in October. Thank you to children, families and organisations who provided feedback and helped design the space. The existing playground will remain open until just a few weeks before the new play space is ready.

You can now complete the Healthy Heart of Victoria 2019 Active Living Census online at www.srcentre.com.au/ALC. The results will help us to better understand what our community needs to be active, healthy and happy. Take part in the census by Thursday 16 June to be in the running for some great prizes. The survey will be sent to all households in May.
