Survey for parents and carers

We are developing our first Middle Years Plan and would like to hear from parents and carers of children aged 8 to 12 years. The survey will help us to better understand the needs of children in this age group and the services, programs and activities that will support them. A short online survey is available at www.mountalexander.vic.gov.au/HaveYourSay. Surveys will also be provided to children through primary schools, with copies available at the Civic Centre, library and community hubs. Complete the survey by Friday 22 November for a chance to win a $100 gift voucher. For more information contact the Community Partnerships Team on 5471 1700 or email youth@mountalexander.vic.gov.au.

New crossing on Forest Street

Works will begin in early November to install a new pedestrian crossing on Forest Street in Castlemaine, near the main entrance to Camp Reserve. The crossing will link the Barkers Creek Walking and Cycling Trail with the Campbells Creek Trail. It is expected to be completed by Christmas, weather permitting. Temporary detours will be required during the works and will be signposted. The crossing is funded through Healthy Heart of Victoria.
