The winner of each category will be in the running for the coveted Business of the Year Award and $2,000 prize money. There will also be an award for best practice in accessibility.

In addition to running a successful business, the judges were impressed by the entrepreneurial spirit and innovation of local businesses.

“I found each business unique and inspiring in its own way. It was a privilege to be part of the judging, and on their journey for a snapshot in time,” said Rebecca Pedretti, Coordinator Economic Development, Hepburn Shire Council.

The winners in each category will be announced at the gala event on Thursday 5 December at the Castlemaine Town Hall. The event will acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of local businesses and entrepreneurs. John Fleming from the Strange Weird Little Guys will host the evening.

Tickets are $40. Dinner and drinks will be provided. Purchase your tickets prior to the event at bit.ly/MtAlexBoxOffice.

The awards are run in partnership with the Midland Express/Castlemaine Mail, and are proudly supported by Business Mount Alexander, Good Earth Garden Supplies, Maldon Inc., Maldon & District Community Bank, Small Business Victoria and Workspace Australia.
