We would like to hear from children aged 8 to 12 years, their families and service providers, at our first Middle Years Forum. The forum will help to inform the development of our Middle Years Plan. It will be held from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Wednesday 4 December at the Civic Centre at Castlemaine. Attendance is free. Registrations are essential and can be made at http://tix.yt/middleyearsforum. Community members and nearby residents are invited to a drop in session to discuss plans to upgrade the play space at Morrissey Reserve in Castlemaine. View options for play equipment and share your feedback. Drop in between 4.30pm and 6.30pm on Thursday 12 December at Morrissey Reserve, 37 View Street, Castlemaine. Learn how to prepare yourself, pets and property for bushfires at a family-friendly information session at Castlemaine. Speak with fire and emergency management experts and hear from bushfire survivors and representatives from the CFA, Agriculture Victoria and local animal welfare organisations. The event will be held from 11.00am to 1.00pm on Saturday 15 December at the grassed area on Mostyn Street between the Market Building and supermarket near Victory Park. Presentations start at 11.30am at the Ray Bradfield Room. Everyone is welcome.

Council will hold a Climate Change Forum on Monday 9 December to inform its future action on climate change. The forum will take place over a series of sessions held between 9.00am and 8.00pm on Monday 9 December in the Council Chambers at the Civic Centre. Registrations to speak at the forum have closed although you can register to be placed on a waitlist. Written submissions are due by Thursday 5 December. Don’t forget to submit a nomination for the 2020 Mount Alexander Shire Australia Day Awards. The nomination form is available at www.mountalexander.vic.gov.au/AustraliaDay, the Civic Centre or Visitor Information Centres at Castlemaine or Maldon. Nominations close at 5.00pm on Friday 6 December.

Revised Castlemaine Streetscape plan – Find plans at the Market Building on Mostyn Street in Castlemaine. Feedback is due by 5.00pm on Sunday 8 December.

2020/2021 Budget – Complete the online survey by Friday 13 December or pick up a copy from the Civic Centre or our Visitor Information Centres.

Draft Plan Harcourt and Shine Harcourt Leanganook – Come along to a drop-in session from 4.00pm to 7.30pm on Wednesday 11 December at the ANA Hall at 7 High Street in Harcourt. Feedback is due by Monday 6 January 2020.
