The Victorian Government has extended the State of Emergency in response to the coronavirus pandemic until 11.59pm on Sunday 16 August 2020. Regional Victorians are encouraged to wear a face mask when leaving home if it is difficult to stay 1.5 metres apart from others. Stage 3 Stay at Home restrictions apply to people who live in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire. People living in these areas must wear a face covering when leaving home from 11.59pm on Wednesday 22 July. You will need to wear a face mask if you travel to metropolitan Melbourne or Mitchell Shire.
It is important that we don’t become complacent in Regional Victoria. Please continue to follow the public health advice, maintain hand hygiene and physical distancing, and check in on your family, friends and neighbours. Be prepared for any potential changes in restrictions. Stay home if you are unwell. Get tested if you are experiencing any symptoms of coronavirus by making an appointment with your local GP or at a testing centre in Bendigo, Kyneton or Maryborough.
