Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

Regional Victoria is in Stage 3 Stay at Home restrictions and there are only four reasons to leave home. They are shopping for food and essential items, care and caregiving, daily exercise, and work/study - if you can't do it from home. No visitors are allowed at your home, and you can only gather in public with one person from outside your household.

Stay home if you are unwell, and get tested and go straight home if you have any symptoms of coronavirus, no matter how mild. Find more information at www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus or call the Coronavirus Hotline on 1800 675 398.

Council update

While we continue to deliver essential services, our Customer Service Centre is closed to the public. Contact us by phone, email or lodge a customer service request via our website. You can also get in touch to arrange a time to speak with a technical staff member in planning, building, local laws, and public and environmental health. Call 5471 1700 or email info@mountalexander.vic.gov.au.

Help is just a call away

If you are feeling lonely or isolated, help is just a phone call away thanks to the Victorian Government’s Community Activation and Social Isolation (CASI) initiative. Call the Coronavirus Hotline on 1800 675 398 and press option 3 to speak with a volunteer from the Australian Red Cross who can talk to you about your needs. They can also put you in touch with a local community connector who can organise extra social, emotional or practical support from a network of services and organisations in the community. You can also call our COVID-19 support number on 1800 512 446 to access a local community connector directly.
