People of all ages are invited to celebrate live music without leaving their lounge room, at a new online music event hosted by Mount Alexander Shire Council’s FReeZa Committee.

Our local FReeZA Committee, Eight Metre Speaker, is hosting the Iso-Bop event which includes a diverse line-up of local and Melbourne-based bands and solo musicians.

The online music event will be streamed live via YouTube on Saturday 31 October from 6.00pm to 7.00pm.

“The FReeZa Committee were keen to find alternative ways to run events during the pandemic, while still being able to provide paid performance opportunities for young musicians in our shire,” said Jodie Hearn, Mount Alexander Shire Council’s Youth Activities Officer.

“Iso-Bop is a great opportunity for residents to catch a live music gig while staying COVID safe. The best part is you don’t have to leave your house to enjoy it!,” said Ms Hearn.

“Iso-Bop will be made up of music video submissions from local and Melbourne based bands and solo musicians, edited together by local editing agency who are working alongside the committee,” said Ms Hearn.

“The event is definitely one that everyone should set a reminder for. I’m on the committee, and I’m still excited to watch it!” says Jeremy Duff, Eight Metre Speaker committee member.

“I can’t think of a better thing you could do on a Saturday night,” said Mr Duff.
