After a difficult year, many people are looking forward to getting out and being social again. These events will reactivate our towns, increase spirits and attract visitors to the region, helping our community and businesses recover from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are excited to see events back on the calendar and are hopeful these events will offer ways to bring our community together,” said Lisa Knight, Director Corporate and Community Services, Mount Alexander Shire Council.

“All recipients have brought forward fantastic innovative proposals and we congratulate them on their successful application,” said Ms Knight.

“We realise restrictions to protect the health and safety of our community from coronavirus (COVID-19) will continue to impact upcoming events.

“Our team will work closely with event organisers to guide them through restrictions as they evolve to ensure that our local events are COVID safe,” she said.

Council’s next round of events grants is planned to open in February. To find out more about the grants programs visit www.mountalexander.vic.gov.au/Grants or call the Venues and Events team on 5471 1700.
