Have your say on Frederick Street

Council is seeking community feedback on concept designs to upgrade Frederick Street and Mechanics Lane in Castlemaine. The plan includes creating a shared precinct to allow safer access for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists. It also focuses on improving the amenity of the area through landscaping, street furniture and lighting, all while maintaining historical characteristics.

Drop-in session: Come along and discuss the designs with our team. Drop in between 4.00pm and 5.30pm; or 6.00pm and 7.30pm on Thursday 4 March at Ray Bradfield Room at Victory Park in Castlemaine.

The plans are on display at the Castlemaine Library foyer, Castlemaine Visitor Information Centre on Mostyn Street, along the fence on Mechanics Lane, and on Council’s website at www.mountalexander.vic.gov.au/HaveYourSay. Complete a short survey on our website or at the Civic Centre by 5.00pm on Monday 22 March.
