Public notice - Vehicle impounded

A white Ford Econovan vehicle in McGrath Street, Castlemaine was impounded by Council officers on Wednesday 28 April 2021.
If the vehicle is not claimed and expenses paid by 8 June 2021, Council may dispose of the vehicle as required under the Local Government Act.

Get prepared at emergency expo

Learn what to do when faced with a disaster or an emergency at the Castlemaine Emergency Response Expo. Come and talk to your local emergency services to fi nd out about basic CPR, home fire safety and how to get prepared for bushfire, flood and storm events.

The free expo will be held from 10.30am to 2.00pm on Saturday 22 May at Western Reserve in Castlemaine. Gold coin donation on entry welcome. The expo is organised by the SES, CFA, Victoria Police and Council.

Kennedy Street fencing underway

Council is reminding residents that works to remove and replace fencing along the west side of Kennedy Street in Castlemaine are underway.

Commuters are advised to use the off-street car parking available to the north of Castlemaine Railway Station. Works are expected to be complete by Monday 31 May.

Footpath improvements in CBD

Footpath renewal works are taking place throughout the Castlemaine CBD to ensure that footpaths remain accessible to pedestrians in the town centre. Works are anticipated to be complete by 30 June, weather permitting.
