COVID-19 update

Our offices are temporarily closed until 8.30am on Friday 4 June, due to the Victorian Government’s 7 Day Circuit Breaker.

The closure applies to the Civic Centre, Visitor Information Centres, and council venues including community and recreation facilities. Parks, reserves and playgrounds remain open for outdoor exercise in line with the latest restrictions. Public toilets are open.

During the closure, staff are continuing to deliver essential services and are available for customer service queries by phone on 5471 1700, email at info@mountalexander.vic.gov.au and via our website.

Works at Harcourt’s Avenue of Honour

Works to improve the health, condition and longevity of trees along Harcourt’s historically significant Avenue of Honour are due to start this month.

The program of works includes pruning, soil aeration, mulching and protection. It also includes the introduction of bollards to clearly define car parking areas, and the removal and replacement of one tree.

Get mind fit at business workshops

Are you involved in business and want to learn how to support your mental health?

Council is offering a range of workshops for local businesses to help people develop practical tools for managing their mental health.

The sessions are part of the Mindfit at Work program, and are held monthly. Each session explores a different aspect of mental health and wellbeing.

The next session, Building Mental Muscles, is being held on Tuesday 15 June (pending further health advice) at the Phee Broadway Theatre.
