Roads, footpaths, bridges and other infrastructure

Council is responsible for managing infrastructure assets across the Shire. This includes approximately 1,400 kilometres of sealed and unsealed (gravel) roads, nearly 100 kilometres of footpaths and trails, 241 bridges and major culverts, and of course our drains, signage, street furniture, roadside vegetation and more. It does not include assets that are owned and managed by others, such as DELWP managed Crown land, VicRoads roads and VicTrack rail crossings and bridges.
