Bill Woodfull Recreation Reserve

Council is working on improvements to the Bill Woodfull Recreation Reserve on Francis Street in Maldon. These improvements will deliver lighting upgrades as well as new all-gender facilities. 

Project summary

The project will see upgrades to the sports lighting at the reserve, and the construction of a gender-neutral netball and tennis change facilities.

 

Lighting upgrade

Council is planning to upgrade the lighting at Bill Woodfull Recreation Reserve. 

The upgrade will provide 100 lux LED lighting for football and 200 lux LED for netball.

These improvements will benefit the Maldon Football Netball Club, along with community members using the facilities for informal recreation.

All gender facilities

Construction of gender-neutral netball and tennis change facilities at Bill Woodfull Recreation Reserve. This will include two change rooms, two umpire change rooms, accessible toilet, administration office, first aid and storage. Some accessible paths, ramped netball court connections and minor car parking works are included.

 

Project partners

Lighting upgrade: 
This project is jointly funded through the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program(LRCI) and Mount Alexander Shire Council, in partnership with the Victorian Government.

 

All gender facilities: 
The new all gender pavilion is being developed by Council in partnership with the Victorian Government.

It is estimated that the total project cost is $405,600.
