Community event signage

Roadside event boards or temporary signs such as A-boards, directional signs and teardrop banners can be displayed to to promote upcoming community events or activities in the shire. 

Roadside event boards

Roadside event boards are available for hire and there is no cost to have signs on display. However it is the user's responsibility to produce, install and remove the signs. 

There is a maximum booking time of four weeks, and the sign/s must be removed within one day of the completion of the event.

Temporary signs 

Signs such as A-boards, directional signs and teardrop banners can be displayed to promote an upcoming community event or activity in the shire. 

A permit is required for placement and display of these signs on Council land, refer to application process below. 

Major roads and arterials are managed by VicRoads. If you propose to have a sign placed alongside a VicRoads declared road, you will need to seek permission from VicRoads.

Your application will be reviewed by our Local Laws and Venues and Events teams who will notify you of the outcome of your application and any associated fees.

8.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday
