Easter 2026 kerbside collection changes: Due to the Good Friday public holiday, collections for Friday 3rd April will take place on Saturday 4th April.
General waste (red lid) bins are collected weekly. Recycling (yellow lid) bins are collected fortnightly on the same day as the red lid bins.

Household waste and recycling collection at Mount Alexander Shire Council
Generally, residential households within township zones are eligible for the kerbside waste and recycling collection service. Residential households outside of township zones may be eligible for a service, dependent on accessibility, safety and proximity to existing collection routes.
To request a new bin collection service, please complete the Request a bin collection online form. All requests for a new service undergo an assessment process.
