Support for small businesses recovering from the January 2026 fires

Small businesses across Mount Alexander Shire and beyond are now facing the complex realities of recovery - rebuilding, partially reopening, managing financial strain, navigating insurance, or making difficult decisions about the future. This page brings together the most reliable support pathways available right now.

On February 23 we held a Business Support Day in Harcourt, during which we conducted a community workshop. The workshop highlighted some great ideas for the future, and we are now passing these ideas on to state government agencies and support groups so they understand exactly what our community needs to recover and grow.
