Community Christmas celebration grants

Council is pleased to announce the recipients of this year’s Community Christmas Celebration Grants program, supporting festive gatherings, lunches, and local activations across communities large and small.

A major focus of this year’s funding is ensuring residents have access to welcoming, inclusive community Christmas lunches.
Recognising the growing number of attendees and the central role it plays in bringing people together, Council has increased its funding support for the Castlemaine Community Lunch.
In addition, a new funding allocation has been introduced this year for a community Christmas lunch in Harcourt, joining established lunches hosted in Newstead and Maldon to ensure residents across the shire can share a festive meal in good company. 

Beyond the community lunches, Council is backing an extensive range of grassroots celebrations, decorations, and festive events organised by volunteer groups, sporting clubs, and business associations:
