The role
Key responsibilities undertaken by the Senior Statutory Planner include:
- Administer Council's planning scheme, planning and related acts and regulations
- Assess planning permit and subdivision applications in accordance with statutory requirements and adherence to established statutory planning procedures and practices
- Assist in the administration of the planning process and work with other staff on the issuing of planning certificates, undertaking compliance processes, and coordinating heritage advice
- Participate in ensuring that the systems and processes utilised for the planning permit assessment process are maintained, kept current, and optimised
Our ideal candidate
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant experience and qualifications
- Advanced working knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Planning Provisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and experience in using databases
