The role
We are seeking people willing to be available for casual work across our Works, Parks and Gardens and Transfer Station teams on an as needed basis.
The duties may vary dependent on demand, but generally will include:
- Safe and competent operation of a variety of vehicles, plant and equipment
- Manual labouring tasks
- Undertaking safety checks and maintaining equipment in a clean, safe and serviceable condition
- Completion of timesheets, checklists, SWMS and other documentation as required
Please note:
- The Castlemaine Transfer Station operates 7 days per week, so weekend work may arise from time to time
- This is a casual position, there are no guaranteed hours per week
Our ideal candidate
To be successful in this role you will have:
- relevant experience and qualifications relating to civil construction, horticulture or similar
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
- Proficient in the safe operation of plant and equipment, and knowledge of safe work practices
- Basic administrative and communication skills
