The role

The Maintenance Facilitator:

  • Undertakes routine servicing, maintenance and report of operational plant and equipment
  • Attends to offsite breakdowns as required
  • Ensures the maintenance and upkeep of the workshop, including storage of tools and equipment and OH&S compliance
  • Completes necessary administration tasks, including timesheets, plant sheets, daily running sheets and incident forms

Our ideal candidate

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A Trade qualification in automotive repairs and maintenance, preferably as a motor or diesel mechanic.
  • A current Victorian Drivers Licence with Heavy Truck Licence Endorsement, and a current Victorian forklift license (high risk).
  • Knowledge and experience in the service, maintenance and fault diagnosis of various plant and equipment
  • Knowledge and experience with working on petrol and diesel powered plant and equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and electrical components.
  • Proficient in the use of metal fabrication equipment, including oxy, mig and arc.
  • Understanding of plant and heavy vehicle requirements relating to safety compliance under the National Heavy Vehicle Law (NHVL).
