The role

Key responsibilities undertaken by the Network and Systems Administrator include:

  • Administer and support Council’s corporate IT infrastructure including server, LAN/WAN, telephony system, desktops, and applications.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the availability and integrity of all resources and key processes. Proactively monitor network and system performance, and prepare and deliver system performance reports)
  • Security management, including file level security, network security, firewalls, email security and anti-virus protection
  • Design, perform and complete server and security audits
  • Providing after hours, emergency and on-call support as required.

 

Our ideal candidate

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • substantial experience and relevant qualifications
  • experience with Microsoft technologies
  • experience with virtual environments (Hyper V & VMware)
  • excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • demonstrated project management skills
